Ingredients

  • 24 slices bacon
  • 500 g beans, white
  • some olive oil for frying
  • 1 medium onion (s), finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoon cane sugar
  • 6 slices bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 1 dl port wine
  • 4 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped
  • some cayenne pepper
  • some sea salt

Instructions

  1. Steam the onions in the olive oil until translucent and add the beans, canned or dried and appropriately prepared.
  2. Then stir in honey, sugar, chopped bacon, port wine and 3 tablespoons of parsley as well as pepper and salt. Simmer for about 30 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool down to room temperature.
  3. In the meantime, place 3 slices of bacon over the upturned muffin molds and close with a fourth slice around the bottom of the mold, possibly fix with a toothpick. Place in the oven preheated to 180 ° C on a baking sheet for about 20 minutes, then drain on kitchen paper and allow to cool.
  4. Fill the bacon baskets with the beans and decorate with the remaining parsley.
  5. Tip: you can use ovenproof glasses or cups instead of muffin cases.
