Ingredients

  • 2 banana (s)
  • 2 apples
  • 2 orange (s)
  • Fruit, to taste e.g. strawberries, raspberries, cherries
  • 200 ml rum
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cinnamon
  • Clove powder
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 pinch cardamom powder
  • 0.5 ½ lemon (s), add the juice
  • 0.5 ½ lemon (s), the zest
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 100 g butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare a marinade:
  2. Dissolve the sugar in the rum, then add cinnamon and cardamom powder, add a little powdered cloves to taste. Caution, clove powder has a strong taste, take very little.
  3. Grate the lemon, mix the zest into the marinade. Melt the butter and add liquid to the marinade, stir well.
  4. Place 12 wooden skewers in water. Tear aluminum foil into 12 pieces, they should be about the size of a DIN A4 sheet.
  5. Whip the cream until stiff, sugar is not necessary as the skewers are very sweet.
  6. Now divide the fruit into bite-sized pieces. Drizzle the banana pieces and apple pieces with lemon juice so they don`t turn brown. The pieces of fruit are now placed on the soaked skewers and then coated with the marinade using a baking brush. Stir the marinade again and again so that nothing settles on the bottom. And don`t put too cold, otherwise the butter will solidify again. Wrap each skewer individually in aluminum foil. Up to this point, you can prepare a few hours before grilling.
  7. Grill for about 7-10 minutes, depending on the heat of the grill, turning more often. Tear open after grilling and serve with whipped cream.
  8. Variation for children: replace the rum with apple juice.
