Ingredients

  • 2 medium onion (s)
  • 4 tablespoon clarified butter
  • 1 ¼ liters beef broth
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 4 slices farmer`s bread (s)
  • 500 ml beer, light
  • 5 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, freshly chopped

Instructions

  1. Peel the onions and cut into rings. Melt the clarified butter in a large saucepan and brown the onion rings in it. Then pour the broth over them.
  2. Heat the broth, season with salt and pepper and let it steep for 10 minutes.
  3. Cut each slice of bread into four parts and dip into the beer. Heat the butter and fry the soaked bread slices in it until crispy.
  4. Spread the beer sandwiches on plates and pour the onion broth over them. Sprinkle the soup with parsley and serve with a liter of beer.
