Ingredients

  • 300 ml syrup, (candy syrup or sugar beet syrup)
  • 100 g suar, brown (optional)
  • 200 g butter or mararine
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • 1 teaspoon, leveled cinnamon
  • 450 g flour

Instructions

  1. Mix the syrup, sugar, soft fat, salt and cinnamon together until frothy. Mix the flour and baking powder and knead everything into a dough. Chill for 3 hours.
  2. Either shape cookies with the pastry press or shape them into a roll and cut into 1/2 cm thick slices.
  3. Bake at 160 degrees for about 15 minutes.
  4. The cookies are very sweet like the original. If you want, you can leave out the sugar or make the cookies thinner.
