Belgian Chocolate Mousse

For chocolate lovers, I present the most chocolate mousse I have ever tasted. Serve this delicious dessert for tea with savory pastries or just like a chocolate treat.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Black chocolate (broken into pieces) – 150 g
  • Fat cream – 200 g
  • Sugar – 75 g
  • Eggs at room temperature – 2 pcs.
  • Cocoa powder for serving
  • Chocolate chips for serving
  • Candied orange fruits for serving

How to make Belgian chocolate mousse:

Directions

  1. Put the chocolate in a bowl, place in a water bath, leave in the bath, stirring, until the chocolate is melted. Remove the bowl from the bath, leave the chocolate to cool slightly.
  2. In a clean bowl, beat the cream with 1 tablespoon. a spoon of sugar until steady. Set the cream aside.
  3. In another clean bowl, beat the egg whites with 4 tablespoon. tablespoons of sugar until fluffy.
  4. In a third bowl, beat the egg yolks with the remaining sugar until smooth. Add the yolks to the chocolate mass.
  5. Add whipped cream and whites into the chocolate mixture.
  6. Place the chocolate mousse in serving tins. To harden, place the chocolate mousse in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  7. Remove the mousse from the refrigerator before serving. Sprinkle the chocolate mousse with cocoa powder, chocolate chips, or candied fruit.
