Ingredients

  • 500 ml milk
  • 250 g berries e.., Black currants
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 55 g cornstarch
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 40 g suar, if you like it sweeter, you can take 50

Instructions

  1. First bring 250 ml of milk to the boil. Meanwhile, puree the berries and mix in 25 g starch and vanilla sugar. Then beat 2 egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff and set aside.
  2. Mix the pureed berries with the boiling milk. Bring to the boil briefly and fold in the egg white. Chill for at least half an hour (refrigerator or, better still, cellar).
  3. Bring the remaining milk (250 ml) to the boil. Meanwhile, mix a little of the milk, 2 egg yolks, 30 g starch and sugar together well. Stir the mixture into the boiling milk, bring to the boil and fold into the first mixture.
  4. Now either enjoy it warm or, as I prefer, let it cool down and then eat it quickly before others get the idea.
