Brewed Wheat Bread

Brewed bread with water is one way to make delicious homemade bread from the simplest ingredients. Thanks to the flour brewing process, the bread is better preserved and the dough is kneaded more easily. Homemade custard bread tastes much better than its store counterparts, and you know exactly what it is made of. Soft, fragrant crumb and crispy, appetizing crust are delicious!

Cook: 2 hours 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • Drinking water – 200 ml
  • Olive oil (or other vegetable oil) – 2 tbsp
  • Wheat flour – 260 g (2 glasses with a capacity of 200 ml) + for working with dough
  • Pressed yeast – 15 g
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon (incomplete)
  • Vegetable oil – for lubricating the mold

Directions

  1. Boil 100 ml of water in a saucepan and add 2 tablespoons of flour to boiling water.
  2. Stir vigorously with a spatula until the mixture is thick, stringy, and smooth. Remove the pan from heat and cool the resulting paste.
  3. Make a dough. To do this, heat the remaining water to a warm state. Pour yeast, sugar, salt, and 2 tablespoon into warm water. tablespoons of flour. Leave warm for 10 minutes, until bubbles appear. Then sift the remaining flour into a large bowl.
  4. Add dough and cooled pasta to the flour. Use a spatula to scoop the dough into a ball, pour in the vegetable oil, and mix again.
  5. It is most convenient to finish kneading the dough with your hands on a flat table surface. I used all the flour indicated in the recipe, but if the dough sticks to the table or hands, you can add a little more flour.
  6. The result is a soft ball of dough. Sprinkle the bottom of the bowl with flour, lay out the dough, and cover with cling film. Leave the dough warm for 40-50 minutes. The dough has increased by 2.5-3 times.
  7. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil. Knead the dough, shape it into a sausage the size of a baking dish. Place the dough in a mold and cover it with plastic wrap.
  8. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees. After 20 minutes, the dough came up again, you can bake the bread. Bake the custard wheat bread in the preheated oven for 40 minutes. Let the finished bread stand in the baking dish for 2 minutes.
  9. Gently remove the bread from the mold, put it on its side, and let it cool completely because hot baked goods are not very useful and cut worse. Such bread does not stale for a long time, but you will eat it much faster than you can check it!
