Wheat Bread “Watermelon” (in a Bread Machine)

Aromatic homemade wheat bread with raisins is very easy to prepare. You will definitely love this bread that looks like a watermelon. Dough for bread “Watermelon” is kneaded in a bread maker.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour – 400 g
  • Serum – 220 g
  • Pressed yeast – 18 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Sugar – 3 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Beet juice
  • Parsley juice
  • Raisins – a handful

Directions

  1. I will be making a yeast dough for wheat bread in a bread machine. If you don’t have a bread maker, you can knead the dough by hand. Pour the wheat flour into the bowl of the bread maker. Pour in the serum. Add the egg. Salt. Add sugar.
  2. Add compressed yeast. Before adding them to the dough, you need to crush the yeast a little.
    Place the bowl in the bread maker. Switch on the “Dough” mode and in an hour the dough will be ready.
  3. Meanwhile, extract the juice from the beets and parsley. Grate the beets, place them in a sieve or cheesecloth, and squeeze out the juice. Chop the parsley in a way convenient for you (you can crush or chop in a blender) and squeeze out the juice as well.
  4. The wheat bread dough in the bread maker came up. Place on a floured surface. Knead the dough with your hands a little more. Divide the dough into 2 pieces. Cut one half in half. Add beet juice to most of the dough and knead so that the dough turns red.
  5. Add raisins to the red dough. To do this, pour the raisins on the table so that they mix a little with the flour. And carefully introduce the raisins into the dough. The red dough is ready. Set one part of the remaining dough aside. And in the second part, add parsley juice and knead.
  6. The multi-colored dough for making “Watermelon” bread is ready. Roll out the white dough into a thin layer. Cover the red dough evenly with white dough. Try to cover the red dough completely. Roll out the green dough. Cover with green dough over white. Round shape.
  7. Grease the mold with vegetable oil. And put the dough there. Place in a warm place for about 30 minutes so that the dough comes up. To do this, I turned the oven on low heat and placed the dough in the oven.
  8. Place the bread in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes. The bread is ready! Bread “Watermelon” turned out to be very beautiful and baked well inside! Cut into slices and serve hot. Bread “Watermelon” is tasty and cold.
