About 40g bulgur are needed per person, that`s about half a cup. 1 part bulgur requires 2 parts water (with a pinch of salt). Scald the bulgur with the boiling water, simmer for 2 minutes and then leave to swell for 15-20 minutes while still warm.
This can already be prepared so that the bulgur has cooled down while preparing the muesli. In winter it can be used for a warming breakfast but also immediately after swelling.
Preparation of muesli:
Peel the orange and banana and cut into small pieces. Either grate or finely dice the apple except for the core. Mix the fruit with the lemon juice, cream and yogurt. Stir in the cooked bulgur. Now add enough milk that the muesli is nice and juicy.
Possibly sweeten with sugar or maple syrup or pear syrup if the fruit sweetness is not enough.
The fruit can of course be varied according to taste: pears, grapes, plums, dates, raisins, sultanas, etc.
