- Melt the butter and cool down to lukewarm. Squeeze out the soaked bread roll and mix with the melted butter. Add the spices and egg. Use breadcrumbs to bind the mixture into a malleable dough and let the dough stand for a short time.
- Roll the butter dumplings and cook in the bouillon for 8-10 minutes.
- It is advisable to cook a test dumpling to check whether they fall apart. If this is the case, breadcrumbs are still missing from the dough.
