Cabbage casserole with minced meat and bacon is a simple and very good option for a delicious lunch or dinner. Fry cabbage with minced meat and onions in lard, lay out all the ingredients in layers, and then bake in the oven with bacon. A hearty casserole for lovers of cabbage and meat culinary “stories”!

Ingredients
White cabbage – 1 small (700-800 g)
Minced pork and beef – 300 g
Bulb onions – 1 pc. (110 g)
Bacon – 100 g
Lard – 50 g
Sour cream – 2 tbsp
Bay leaf – 1 pc.
Cumin – 0.5 teaspoon
Cloves – 1 pc.
Vegetable oil – to prepare the mold
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper – to taste
Directions
We prepare the necessary products. Grind the cloves with a mortar. We wash the cabbage and separate 6-8 outer leaves. Cut off thickenings from cabbage leaves.
Pour a full pot of water, bring it to a boil. We put the leaves in boiling water. Blanch them for 3-5 minutes. We drain the water and let the leaves cool.
Peel and rinse the onion and cut it into medium cubes. We also cut the bacon into cubes.
Cut the rest of the cabbage into medium cubes. We turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry in a preheated pan. Then add the onion to the bacon in the pan and fry it a little. Add cabbage to the onion with lard, mix. Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Add bay leaves, caraway seeds, chopped cloves. Simmer for several minutes, stirring constantly. We remove the bay leaf.
Salt and pepper the vegetables. Add minced meat to vegetables, mix and fry, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes.
Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil. Put half of the cabbage leaves on the bottom of the mold. Put cabbage with minced meat on the leaves.
Put the remaining leaves, bacon on top, and grease with sour cream. We send the form into an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for 45-55 minutes.
Serve hot cabbage casserole with minced meat and bacon as an independent dish.
