Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoon tea, black (e.g. Assam or another strong variety)
  • 6 cardamom capsules, whole green ones
  • 4 carnation (s)
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon anise (or -2 star anise)
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
  • 1 piece (s) ginger, fresh, finely chopped (approx. / 2- teaspoon full)
  • 4 cup milk, fresh
  • 6 cup water
  • Sugar, brown or
  • Honey or
  • Syrup (sugar syrup)

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients except the tea and the sweetener of choice in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer for one minute in an open saucepan over low heat, then add the tea. Bring to the boil again, then immediately turn to the lowest level and let it draw closed for about 15 minutes.
  2. Then strain through a sieve directly into cups or a jug, sweeten as desired.
