Ingredients

  • 700 g spaetzle, (fresh)
  • 3 onion (s)
  • 250 ml cream and water
  • 1 cube broth, fat
  • 200 g cheese (Gruyère)
  • 200 g mountain cheese
  • 0.5 ½ bunch chives
  • Butter, for the mold
  • salt and pepper
  • Oil, for deep-frying
  • 3 tablespoon flour
  • Cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the spaetzle according to the instructions on the packet.
  2. Bring the water and cream to the boil, season well with the stock cube and the spices.
  3. Grate the cheese. Rinse the chives under cold running water, toss them dry and cut them into very small pieces.
  4. Put half of the spaetzle in a correspondingly large baking dish and sprinkle with half of the cheese. Put the rest of the spaetzle and cheese on top and mix well with the cream mixture.
  5. Bake in the oven at 175 ° for about 15 minutes until the cheese has melted.
  6. In the meantime, peel the onions, cut into rings and turn in flour. Fry crispy in plenty of oil.
  7. Serve the spaetzle sprinkled with the onions and chives.
  8. A crunchy salad is the ideal side dish.
