Chicken in the Sweet Ginger-Garlic Marinade

A simple recipe for grilled chicken in a sweet ginger-garlic marinade. Pretty cool thing if you want to diversify your suburban menu. The chicken tastes very unusual due to the interesting combination of marinade ingredients. You should definitely try this!

Ingredients

  • Chicken legs – 2 kg
  • Garlic – 1 head
  • Ginger – 50 g
  • Fish sauce – 100 ml
  • Sugar – 3 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Freshly ground pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Peel the garlic and ginger, rub on a fine grater.
  2. To prepare the marinade, put the grated garlic with ginger into a separate bowl. Add 3 teaspoon. sugar, salt, freshly ground pepper and 100 ml of fish sauce. We mix. The chicken marinade is ready.
  3. Let’s take care of the chicken. Prepare the chicken legs for pickling by cutting off excess skin and pieces of fat. On both sides, we make cuts in the skin every centimetermetre so that the marinade better penetrates inside.
  4. We place the chicken in a deep container. Fill with cooked marinade. Stir so that the marinade hits each slot in the chicken. Leave the chicken in the marinade for 1 hour.
  5. Grill chicken in the ginger-garlic marinade until cooked. Never mind that the chicken looks a little burnt due to the sugar content of the marinade.
