Ingredients

  • 500 g minced meat, preferably beef or mixed
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 sausages, hot dogs, Frankfurter, Wiener, cut into thick slices
  • 1 small onion (s), diced
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder, less or more to taste
  • 250 ml tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • Cheese, grated, e.g. Cheddar, Grueyer
  • sour cream, to taste
  • Sauce (salsa), to taste
  • Chips (Tortilla Corn Chips)

Instructions

  1. Fry the minced meat well in the oil until the minced meat is cooked through. Season with salt and pepper. Add the hot dogs and let cook for another 2 minutes. Add the onion and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Then add the Worcestershire sauce, the chilli powder and cumin, as well as the tomato sauce. Let the whole simmer for another 5 minutes.
  2. Arrange the tortilla corn chips on a plate, cover with chilidogs and sprinkle with cheese. In the oven briefly under the grill until the cheese melts. Serve with sour cream and salsa.
  3. A little hint
  4. Sometimes I like to use regular chili powder and some chipotle powder. Start with a small amount with the powder and add more to taste.
  5. You can also add more tomato sauce if you like.
