Chocolate Cupcake with Pears

by Editorial Staff

The rich taste of chocolate cake goes very well with pears, especially if the pears are pre-boiled in syrup with berries. To make the cake not only tasty, but also look very impressive, the pears are not crushed, but are placed whole in the dough. Such unusual pastries will completely replace even a cake on your table. I advise!

Chocolate Cupcake with Pears Instructions

  1. For the preliminary preparation of pears, prepare sugar syrup with berries. To do this, mix sugar, previously thawed and mashed berries, water and spices. Bring the syrup to a boil.
  2. We take hard pears for the cake, peel them.
  3. Dip the pears in the syrup and cook over low heat until soft. Then we take the pears out of the syrup and let them cool.
  4. In the meantime, the pears are cooling, make a dough for the cake. Sift the cocoa flour.

  5. Beat eggs with sugar in another container.
  6. Add sour cream to the whipped mass and beat a little again.
  7. Pour in half of the flour mixture, mix.
  8. Add the melted cooled butter and mix.
  9. We introduce the rest of the cocoa flour. The chocolate dough is ready.
  10. Put the finished dough in a greased form and put whole pears in the dough. (Usually I use four pears in this cupcake, but a little smaller, so they sink more into the dough during baking. But this time I came across large pears, so only three fit in the mold.) We put the mold in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees. We bake a chocolate cake with pears for 40 minutes. If the pear tails start to darken at the end of baking, cover the cupcake with foil.
  11. We take out the finished chocolate cake from the oven. You can check the readiness of the cake by piercing it with a wooden skewer, it will be dry. Take the cake out of the mold, cool it on the wire rack.
  12. Real winter pastries – rich chocolate flavor, aroma of spices and juicy pears.
