Cookies “Hedgehogs”

Hedgehog-shaped shortbread cookies can be made with children. The cookies are very tasty, soft, not sugary.
Ingredients
- Flour – 150-180 g
- Butter – 100 g
- Sugar – 50 g
- Vanilla extract – 4-5 drops
- Egg – 1 pc.
- Salt – 1 pinch
- Chocolate – 60 g
- Crushed nuts – 4 tbsp
- Cured cherries – for decoration
Directions
- Combine softened butter with sugar.
- Beat butter with sugar until white. Divide the egg into white and yolk. Add the yolk to the dough.
- Beat the yolk with the oil mixture well until creamy. Add vanilla extract.
- Add flour and salt gradually.
- Knead soft and plastic dough. If it seems to you that there is not enough flour, add, but not too much. Put the dough in a bag and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Roll the dough into balls the size of a walnut. Then give the balls an elongated conical shape with a sharp spout.
- Cover the baking sheet with paper and put the cookies on it.
- Bake shortbread cookies at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Cool the finished cookies.
- Melt the chocolate in a water bath.
- Using a brush, brush the cookies with melted chocolate and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
- Use a toothpick or a match to paint the “nose” and “eyes” with chocolate. Decorate with dried cherries.
- Leave the Hedgehog cookies to set for 15-20 minutes.
