Ingredients

  • 350 ml apple cider or mulled apple wine
  • 100 g suar
  • 1 bag vanilla sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cinnamon
  • 2 strips orange peel
  • 2 carnation (s)
  • 200 g cranberries, fresh or frozen, not dried

Instructions

  1. If you want to preserve the sauce, boil the twist-off glasses while they are hot and keep them close at hand.
  2. Wash the fresh cranberries.
  3. Add apple cider and cranberries with sugar, vanilla sugar and spices and simmer for 5 minutes until all the berries have burst and crumbled.
  4. I have already pureed the sauce and left it in pieces. When mashed, it becomes smoother. Pour into the glasses while still hot and leave to cool on your head. Makes about 3 glasses of 200 ml each.
  5. I almost always make the recipe with mulled apple wine, there is already some cinnamon and cloves in it, so you use a little less cinnamon and one clove. Certainly you can also use apple juice instead of cider when children are eating. Instead of the orange peel, you can also use a packet of grated orange peel.
