Ingredients

  • 700 ml currant juice, (unsweetened)
  • 400 g suar
  • 1 sachet Gelfix, extra
  • 50 ml liqueur (currant liqueur)

Instructions

  1. Wash currants, drain them and extract juice from them.
  2. Put the currant juice in a saucepan. Mix the sugar with Gelfix, then stir with the fruit juice, bring everything to a boil while stirring over high heat. Let simmer for at least 3 minutes, stirring constantly, and remove from the hob. Now stir in the liqueur, skim if necessary and pour into prepared glasses immediately!
  3. If you don`t have a liqueur at home, you can also use 750 ml currant juice - it also tastes delicious!
