Ingredients

  • 1 kg currants (currants), red, cleaned
  • some red wine, (approx. 200 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon, leveled cinnamon, ground
  • 1 pinch clove (s), ground
  • 1 pinch (s) nutmeg, ground
  • 1 kg preserving sugar, :

Instructions

  1. Juice the currants in the steam juicer or pass them through a sieve (Flotte Lotte).
  2. Measure the currant juice and make up to 800 ml with red wine.
  3. Put in a saucepan, add the spices and preserving sugar and mix everything well.
  4. Put on the stove, bring to the boil and let it simmer for about 6 minutes. Make a gel test!
  5. Then immediately pour into clean glasses, close and let cool down.
