Ingredients

  • 200 g flour, (white)
  • 200 g cornstarch
  • 1 g powdered suar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 300 g butter, (room temperature)
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder, heavily de-oiled; at will

Instructions

  1. Mix the butter with the sifted powdered sugar, the vanilla sugar and the salt in a mixing bowl with a dough hook. Gradually knead in the sifted flour and the sifted cornstarch until you have a firm ball. Put the dough in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Then shape balls about 2 cm in size with your hands and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Press in the balls a little with a fork. Warning: the biscuits enlarge as they bake. Bake in an oven preheated to 175 ° C for approx. 12 minutes (the following trays for approx. 10 minutes).
  2. Let the finished biscuits cool down on the baking tray for about 10 minutes and only then place them on a cooling rack, as they are very fragile right after baking. If desired, cocoa can be kneaded under one half of the raw dough.
