Mix the butter with the sifted powdered sugar, the vanilla sugar and the salt in a mixing bowl with a dough hook. Gradually knead in the sifted flour and the sifted cornstarch until you have a firm ball. Put the dough in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Then shape balls about 2 cm in size with your hands and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Press in the balls a little with a fork. Warning: the biscuits enlarge as they bake. Bake in an oven preheated to 175 ° C for approx. 12 minutes (the following trays for approx. 10 minutes).
