Flower Sandwiches

by Editorial Staff

These wonderful ham and cheese sandwiches can be made for a children’s party. Sandwich recipes are usually straightforward. But to make these sandwiches, you have to find special molds, or work a little, cutting flowers by hand. The effort will pay off – the sandwiches look incredibly tempting.

Ingredients

  • Pita bread with “pocket” (or other unleavened bread) – 10 pcs. (or how much will it take)
  • Butter, melted – ¼ cup
  • Turkey ham (thick slices) – 450 g
  • Ham (thick slices) – 450 g
  • Swiss cheese – 5 slices
  • Soft cream cheese – ¼ cup

Directions

  1. Preheat the broiler (top of the oven). Cut the pitas horizontally in half (or prepare another bread). Using a mold (about 8.8 cm), cut the flowers out of the bread. Brush the bread with butter and place on a baking sheet. Roast under the broiler, 12-13 cm from the fire, for 1-2 minutes. Cool it down.
  2. Cut the turkey into a 7.5 cm mold. Put the turkey slices on the bread.
  3. Cut the ham into a smaller dia mold (6.25 cm). Place on turkey.
  4. Cut the hard cheese into a 5 cm mold. Place the cheese on the ham.
  5. Place the soft cream cheese in a piping bag with the small star attachment. Squeeze the white cheese into the center of each flower. Serve sandwiches immediately.

Bon Appetit!
