French Rye Croutons

French croutons are an original appetizer on rye bread slices. It is better to combine soft and semi-hard cheese varieties. I have Camembert and Raclette.

Ingredients

  • Soft cheese – 150 g
  • Semi-hard cheese – 150 g
  • Rye loaf – 2 pcs.
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Mayonnaise – 2 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste
  • Garlic – 4 teeth
  • Pitted olives – 4 pcs.
  • Greens – 1 vet.
  • Butter – 20 g

How to cook rye croutons:

Directions

  1. Coarsely grate both types of cheese. Mix.
  2. Squeeze out the garlic. add to the cheese mixture.
  3. Hard boil the egg, peel, grate, and mix with cheese.
  4. Add mayonnaise and mix everything thoroughly.
  5. Salt if necessary.
  6. Cut the rye rolls in half. Brush with a thin layer of butter and fry for 3 minutes in a hot oven.
  7. Cover the rye croutons with a thick layer of cheese paste.
  8. Decorate French croutons with chopped olives and herbs.
