Ingredients
- 1 red cabbage (red cabbage)
- 1 onion (s), diced
- 1 garlic clove (s), chopped
- 1 tablespoon oil or clarified butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 125 ml red wine
- 1 teaspoon spice mixture (wild seasoning)
- little broth
- 125 ml apple juice
- salt and pepper
- 0.5 ½ glass lingonberries or currant or lingonberry jam

- Clean the red cabbage and cut into strips with the cucumber slicer.
- Fry the onion and garlic in hot oil or clarified butter. Add the sugar and let it caramelize (not too dark). Add the red wine and stir. Now add the red cabbage and mix until it shines. Pour in the broth and apple juice and mix everything together.
- Note: Please mix everything so that it is a little liquid, but not too much - this will vary depending on the amount of herb. The values given are only approximate values. If desired, a diced apple can also be added here.
- Now add the game spices and season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes until it is soft. If necessary, season again with salt and pepper. Finally add the cranberries or the red jam.
