Ingredients

  • 1 kg broad green beans
  • 500 ml tomato juice
  • 50 ml oil, or olive oil
  • 1 pinch (s) garlic powder
  • 1 tomato (s), finely chopped
  • 0.5 ½ onion (s), cut very small
  • 1 pinch (s) parsley, freshly chopped or frozen
  • Paprika powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Halve the cleaned beans and simmer in the tomato juice for 30-45 minutes. Then fry the tomato pieces, onions and parsley in the oil a little and then mix with the beans. Season to taste with paprika powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder and sugar and simmer for a few more minutes.
  2. Serve warm, lukewarm or cold.
