Ingredients

  • 500 ml grape juice, white
  • 2 tablespoon tea, green, loose
  • 300 ml apple juice
  • 1 packet lemon peel
  • 1 sachet Gelfix, :
  • 1 kg sugar
  • 50 ml sparkling wine, non-alcoholic

Instructions

  1. Bring the grape juice to the boil in a saucepan and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Pour the grape juice over the loose tea and let it steep for 2-3 minutes, depending on the desired strength. Then pour through a sieve into a large saucepan and add the apple juice and lemon zest. Mix Gelfix with 2 tablespoons of sugar and also add to the saucepan. Bring to a boil, then stir in the remaining sugar.
  2. Bring to the boil again and let it simmer for 3 minutes, always stirring.
  3. Now take the pot off the stove and stir in the sparkling wine. Remove any foam that may have formed and pour the jelly into sterilized jars, close and place on the lid for 5 minutes.
  4. Makes about 4 glasses of 250 ml each.
