Ingredients

  • 2 onions)
  • 2 tomato (s) (vine tomatoes)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, dried
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder, noble sweet
  • 6 tablespoon oil
  • 600 g pork
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 4 tablespoon ajvar, spicy and hot
  • 100 ml vegetable stock
  • 250 ml whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Peel an onion and the garlic. Cut the onion into strips and finely chop the garlic. Put the onion strips and garlic in a bowl, stir in 4 tablespoons of oil and season with oregano, thyme and paprika powder. Mix everything well. Cut the meat into thin strips, put in the marinade and let stand for 2 hours.
  2. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a pan and fry the meat until crispy and season with salt. Take out the meat. Add ajvar and tomato paste to the hot frying fat and stir. Deglaze with the stock and cream. Put the meat back in the sauce.
  3. Wash the tomatoes and cut into pieces. Put the tomato pieces in the sauce and cook for 15 minutes on a low temperature.
  4. Cut an onion into rings. Arrange the gyros and sprinkle with the onion rings. French fries and tzaziki go well with this.
