Ingredients

  • 1 pack fish (matjes), Nordic style, 250g fish weight
  • 1 m-sized apple, tart (Boskoop)
  • 1 pickle (s)
  • 1 medium tomato (s)
  • 1 medium onion (s)
  • 4 tablespoon vinegar
  • 3 tablespoon oil
  • salt and pepper
  • sugar
  • 4 clove (s)
  • 3 grains allspice
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cup sour cream (50 g)

Instructions

  1. Chop the herring fillets, cut the tomato, apple, pickled cucumber and onion into small cubes.
  2. Mix the vinegar, oil, sour cream and the other spices into a sauce. Mix everything together and let it steep in the refrigerator overnight.
  3. There are also jacket potatoes.
