Herring Under a Fur Coat in Potato Tartlets

I offer a recipe for fans of herring under a fur coat and lovers of beautiful and original snacks. You can also use the old proven recipe, but there the beauty of the dish is destroyed after the first touch of the portioned spatula. Herring under a fur coat in potato tartlets will perfectly preserve its beauty until the New Year.

Ingredients

  • For tartlets:
  • Boiled potatoes – 200 g
  • Egg white – 1 pc.
  • Salt to taste
  • For the salad:
  • Boiled or baked beets – 1 pc.
  • Boiled or baked carrots – 1 pc.
  • Apple – 0.5 pcs.
  • Small onions – 1 pc.
  • Salted herring fillet (lightly salted) – 2 pcs.
  • Mayonnaise (or sour cream, or yogurt) – 50 g
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp

Directions

  1. Mash boiled potatoes while hot. Add egg white, salt and mix everything.
  2. Turn on the oven, let it heat up to 200 degrees.
    Grease the molds with butter and sprinkle with flour. Place mashed potatoes in tins, forming tartlets.
  3. Bake potato tartlets in oven at 200 ° C for 20 minutes.
  4. Boiled beets, boiled carrots, apple, peel and cut into small cubes. Stir everything with mayonnaise.
  5. Cut herring fillets into cubes.
  6. Finely chop the onion.
  7. Stir the herring with the onion and a spoonful of vegetable oil.
  8. Put herring and onions on the bottom of the cooled tartlets,
  9. Above – a fur coat made of beets, carrots and apples.
  10. Herring under a fur coat in potato tartlets is ready. Decorate the appetizer with dill herbs. Bon Appetit!
