Ingredients

  • 150 g mararine, or butter
  • 500 ml milk
  • 50 g yeast
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 2 teaspoons, leveled cardamom, ground
  • 800 g wheat flour
  • 50 g mararine, or butter
  • 100 g suar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (Kanel)
  • 1 egg (s)
  • some sugar (pearl sugar or chopped almonds)
  • a bit salt
  • 2 teaspoons water

Instructions

  1. Melt 150 g margarine in a saucepan, add milk and heat to approx. 37 °. Add the yeast and 150 g sugar to the milk. Pour the mixture into a mixing bowl. Then add flour, salt and cardamom and stir the batter. Cover the dough and let rise in the bowl for about 40 minutes.
  2. Place the dough on a floured baking towel and knead until smooth. Divide into 2 parts. Roll out the dough into 2 large rectangles each (approx. 25 x 35cm)
  3. Brush the plates with 50 g soft butter or margarine, sprinkle with 100 g sugar and the cinnamon, turn into rolls.
  4. Cut each roll into approx. 20 bullar, place on two baking sheets lined with baking paper and flatten it a little with a wide knife.
  5. Let rise for another 20 minutes.
  6. The risen bullar with whisked egg, which with 2 teas. Water is mixed, brush and sprinkle with pearl sugar or chopped almonds.
  7. Bake at 200 ° for 8-10 minutes
