Ingredients

  • 500 g quark, no lean
  • 8 tablespoon flour
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 2 tablespoon semolina
  • 1 dash lemon juice
  • currants
  • Sunflower oil for frying
  • applesauce
  • sugar

Katrins Quarkkeulchen Without Potatoes

Instructions

  1. Mix the quark, flour, eggs, sugar, salt, semolina, lemon and possibly a few currants into a dough.
  2. If you want the dough to be a little firmer, add a little more flour.
  3. Heat some sunflower oil in the pan.
  4. I use two tablespoons to portion the dough with one and to scrape it into the pan with the other, as the dough is not malleable.
  5. Bake the quark pods until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Sprinkle with sugar and serve with applesauce.
