Lavash Rolls with Salted Fish and Fresh Cucumbers

Delicious and refreshing pita bread with herring, boiled eggs, fresh herbs, and cucumbers. You can safely put such a snack on a festive table, as well as take pita rolls with you to a picnic.

Ingredients

  • Thin lavash – 2-3 pcs.
  • Salted herring – 1 pc.
  • Fresh cucumber – 1 pc.
  • Boiled eggs – 3 pcs.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Fresh dill – 1 bunch
  • Processed cream cheese (soft) – 180 g

Directions

  1. Finely chop the onions.
  2. Grate the cucumber.
  3. Grate boiled eggs.
  4. Finely chop the dill.
  5. Separate the salted herring fillet from the bones and cut it into pieces. For convenience, I took a ready-made fillet.
  6. Spread soft melted cheese on the prepared pita bread sheet. Lavash can be either square or rectangular. But the square one is more convenient to fold.
  7. Put pieces of herring on one edge of the lavash with cheese. Add a bow to it.
  8. Next, put grated cucumber and eggs on pita bread with herring and onions. Sprinkle everything with dill.
  9. Gently wrap the stuffed pita bread in a roll.
  10. Cut the finished pita rolls so that they can be conveniently transported to the refrigerator.
  11. Cover pita bread with fish with cling film and leave for a couple of hours to soak.
  12. Lavash appetizer with salted fish is ready. Lavash rolls can be cut into small portions for serving, or whole rolls can be taken for a picnic.
