Ingredients

  • 500 g potato (s), from the day before
  • 100 g bacon
  • 250 g beans, thick
  • 500 g meat loaf
  • 2 onion (s), red
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon pepper, coarse
  • 3 stalks marjoram and thyme (alternatively 1 teaspoon dried)
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • 4 egg (s)

Leberkäse – Pan with Broad Beans

Instructions

  1. Cut the potatoes from the previous day into slices. Peel the onion and cut into rings, finely chop the garlic. Cut the meat loaf into strips. Finely chop the herbs.
  2. Knead the butter with the coarse pepper and then heat it in a coated pan. Put the potato slices in the pan and fry them. Add the onions and garlic with the bacon to the potatoes and sauté. Season with salt and paprika. Add meat loaf and beans to the potatoes and fry for another 5 minutes. Fold in the chopped herbs.
  3. Heat some butter in a second pan and bake one fried egg for each person. Distribute meat loaf on plates and top with the fried egg.
  4. A lamb`s lettuce and radish go well with it. If you like, you can serve farmhouse bread and a cool blond with it.
