Ingredients

  • 50 ml balsamic vinegar, good
  • 4 tablespoon syrup (apple syrup)
  • 0.5 ½ orange (s), untreated, juice from it and wafer-thin slices from the peel
  • 500 g strawberries, fresh
  • Mint or lemon balm, some fresh leaves

Instructions

  1. Bring the balsamic vinegar, apple syrup and orange juice to the boil and reduce to a syrupy level over a low heat, stirring constantly, for about 5 minutes.
  2. Wash the strawberries, pat dry, clean and cut in half or quarter, depending on the size of the strawberries. Let the balsamic vinegar syrup cool down a bit and pour over the strawberries, mix gently. Garnish with orange peel and mint leaves.
