  • Minced pork – 600 g
  • Champignons – 150 g
  • Potatoes – 3-4 pcs.
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Hard cheese – 60 g
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Vegetable oil – for frying
  • Butter – 30-50 g
  • Ground crackers – 2 tbsp
  • Seasoning for meat – to taste
  • Salt to taste

  1. Before starting, I want to note that you can use your favorite spices. And today I have a piece of cheese with black pepper, but it doesn’t matter, take what you have.

  2. Cut the peeled onions and mushrooms into cubes. Fry onions in a small amount of vegetable oil until golden brown.
  3. Add mushrooms, fry. The main thing is to evaporate excess moisture from the mushrooms. Cool the mushrooms.
  4. While the mushrooms are on the stove, add crackers, seasoning and a good pinch of salt to the minced meat. Mix well. And let the minced meat stand, slightly marinate.
  5. Combine minced meat with cooled mushrooms. Add the egg. Mix well.
  6. We turn on the oven to heat up to 200 degrees. We form koloboks from minced meat (weight – 100 g each). For cooking I will use a silicone muffin mold and paper capsules for cakes. We lay out the meat balls into molds. On top of each meat ball we make a small depression (for ketchup). We send it to a preheated oven for 30 minutes, the temperature is 200 degrees.
  7. Meanwhile, prepare mashed potatoes. To do this, boil the potatoes until tender. Knead hot potatoes with butter.
  8. Rub cheese (50 g) into mashed potatoes on a fine grater. We mix.
  9. We make meat “cakes”. We spread the ketchup in the prepared grooves in the minced meat. From above, through a pastry bag with a nozzle, place the mashed potatoes (you can beautifully spread out with a spoon). Sprinkle with herbs if desired.

  10. On top of mashed potatoes on a fine grater, rub the remaining cheese (a pinch for each “cake”). We put the meat “cakes” in the oven for a few more minutes, so that the potatoes are golden.
  11. Meat cakes with mashed potatoes and ketchup look great on the table. Minced meat is juicy and aromatic, mashed potatoes with cheese are almost like cream. If you prepare such “cakes” from minced meat and mashed potatoes in advance, then you can reheat them in the oven or microwave before serving. Try it, cook to your health!
