Oatmeal with Carrots, Banana and Cinnamon

A very tasty and tender porridge with a pleasant taste is obtained if you put some grated carrots in a saucepan together with oatmeal! At the end of cooking, the banana puree is added, which gives the dish a special flavor and additional nutritional value!

Ingredients

  • Oatmeal flakes (instant) – 40 g
  • Milk – 250 g
  • Carrots – 70 g (1 pc.)
  • Banana – 170 g (1 pc.)
  • Ground cinnamon – 1/4 teaspoon
    *

For filing:

  • Walnuts (optional) – to taste

Directions

  1. Pour oatmeal and milk into a heavy-bottomed saucepan.
  2. Wash carrots, peel, and grate on a fine grater. Add the chopped carrots to the pan with the oatmeal and milk.
  3. Add ground cinnamon to the porridge, stir, cover, and put on medium heat. After boiling, reduce heat to low and, stirring occasionally, cook porridge for about 5-9 minutes.
  4. Peel the banana and mash the flesh with a fork or potato pusher. Add banana puree to porridge and stir.
  5. Oatmeal with carrots, banana, and cinnamon is ready! You can serve it immediately after cooking or let it stand a little longer – the porridge will become thicker and denser!
  6. When serving, add chopped walnuts to each porridge if desired. Enjoy your meal!
