Ingredients

  • 350 g chicken breast or other chicken meat
  • 1 package bacon or Black Forest ham
  • 4 onion (s)
  • 400 ml cream
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable stock
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • salt and pepper
  • oil
  • 2 tablespoon curry
  • sugar

Instructions

  1. Peel, halve and slice the onions. Peel the garlic. Halve the chicken (if chicken breast is used) horizontally, otherwise it will be too thick.
  2. Rub the meat with thyme and wrap with bacon or ham. Place the meat in a greased casserole dish and preheat the oven to 210 ° C (top / bottom heat).
  3. Sweat the onions in oil until translucent, add the garlic and dust with flour. Deglaze with cream and let it boil briefly. Season to taste with broth, salt, pepper, sugar and curry. Season more according to taste. The consistency of the sauce should not be too runny, as the chicken will add a little liquid later.
  4. Now pour the sauce over the chicken and put the pan in the oven for about 20 minutes. This goes very well with rice, pasta or just salad. The side dish can be prepared in the meantime.
