The prawns should be thawed for a few hours (preferably the evening before) before preparation.
Now the peppers are washed and cut into 1 cm cubes. Chop the onions and garlic and add them to the saucepan in which the sauce is to be cooked. However, this is not yet switched on.
Preparation:
We now heat some oil in a pan and fry the prawns on both sides (approx. 1-2 minutes on each side). Remove and set aside.
At this point it is probably best to put the water on for the pasta and turn on the oven for the baguettes.
Now we add the oil from the prawns to the onions and garlic in the pot and let them turn glassy.
Then we add the peppers and steam them for a few minutes. Now add the tomato paste and stir everything vigorously for a few minutes.
Optional:
Now add a strong sip of red wine and stir in thoroughly until the liquid is almost completely used up. Repeat this step until the wine is used up (4-8 times). If you don`t like wine, skip this step and continue with milk and cream.
Now the water should boil, please add the pasta to the water and, if necessary, put the baguettes in the oven.
Now deglaze the sauce with milk and cream, add the prawns and tomatoes, stir vigorously, season with salt and pepper and let everything simmer for 5 minutes. If you like, add other ingredients to taste (chilli, etc.)
Now pour the pasta off. Please test beforehand whether they are as firm to the bite as you like them. If you like, you can toss the pasta in butter. Take the baguettes out of the oven, cut them into slices and serve with them.
