Ingredients

  • 1 kg wheat flour type 550
  • 1 packet yeast, fresh
  • 100 g butter
  • 450 ml water
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 5 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 handful sesame seeds, peeled
  • 1 egg white
  • Fat, for the tin

Instructions

  1. Mix together milk, water, sugar and butter and heat lukewarm in the microwave. The ingredients must not get too hot, otherwise the yeast will not work properly!
  2. Crumble the yeast in the flour mixed with salt. Slowly pour the milk mixture into the flour and knead the dough. Possibly add a little more flour until the dough comes off the bowl and knead for approx. 10 minutes. This can also be done on a board, it doesn`t have to be in a bowl.
  3. Shape the dough into approx. 6 cm thick balls, place them on a greased tray and flatten them lightly. Now the rolls have to rise for at least 30 minutes. Depending on the yeast, you might want to wait a little longer.
  4. Now brush the rolls with the egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  5. Bake the rolls at 200 ° C (top / bottom heat) for 12 to 15 minutes.
