Ingredients

  • 250 g spelled flour
  • 250 g spelled flour (whole rain)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pack dry yeast
  • 200 ml soy milk (soy drink)
  • 100 ml water
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • Soy cream (soy cream cuisine), mixed with water
  • 2 tablespoon sesame seeds, if desired

Instructions

  1. Mix the two types of flour, mix in the salt and dry yeast well. Warm the soy drink and water slightly (do not let it get too warm, otherwise the yeast will break) and add to the flour mixture with the oil. Knead thoroughly with your hands until you have a smooth dough. Cover and let rise until the dough has doubled in volume. Then knead again thoroughly and divide into 8 equal pieces. Shape each lump of dough into a flat, round bun and brush with the soy cream-water mixture. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if necessary. Put in the cold oven and set it to 200 ° C. Bake the rolls for about 18 minutes (depends on the oven).
  2. The rolls taste great with vegetarian or vegan patties (e.g. walnut patties) as a burger.
