We offer you a recipe for crispy pickled cabbage with apples, carrots and peppers.
Ingredients
White cabbage – 1 pc.
Apples – 3 pcs.
Carrots – 4 pcs.
Bulgarian pepper – 3 pcs.
Fresh hot pepper – 1 pc.
Garlic – 1 head
Vinegar 5% – 1 cup (250 ml)
Salt – 4 tbsp
Sugar – 1 glass
Bay leaves – 3 pcs.
Allspice peas – 6 pcs.
Carnation – 6 pcs.
Directions
Peel, wash, and cut one head of cabbage into eight parts without removing the stump. We put some of the cabbage in jars.
Cut four carrots into large pieces. We put some of the carrots in jars on top of the cabbage. Add a slice of hot pepper.
We cut three bell peppers into large pieces and send part of the pepper to the cabbage with carrots. Add more cabbage. Cut three apples into quarters. We put it in jars.
Add one head of peeled garlic. And put all the remaining products one by one.
Let’s prepare the marinade. Bring two liters of water to a boil, add 1 cup of 5% vinegar, 4 tablespoons of salt and one cup of sugar, 3 bay leaves, 6 allspice peas and 6 cloves.
Fill the contents of the jars with hot marinade. Close the lid tightly. Leave the cabbage with apples, carrots and peppers at room temperature for two days.
After two days, we remove the pickled cabbage with apples in the refrigerator. We keep in the refrigerator for five days, then pickled cabbage with apples, carrots and peppers can be served to the table. The longer the pickled cabbage is stored in the refrigerator, the tastier it is.
