Pilaf with Pork (Try It and You Will Love It!)

Favorite homemade pork pilaf recipe. Absolutely any housewife can cook delicious pork pilaf according to this recipe. They will tell me that the recipe for pilaf with pork is wrong, not classic, pilaf should be with lamb. And it tastes good to me. Try it and you will love it!

Ingredients

  • 200 g rice
  • 300 g pork fillet (or neck)
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoon. tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoons of barberry
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Rice, pork, vegetables and spices are all you need to make delicious pilaf.
  2. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater (this is faster, but it is advisable to cut the carrots for pilaf into strips).
  3. Cut the meat into small cubes.
  4. Dice the onion.
  5. Finely chop the garlic.
  6. Heat oil in a cast iron pot or large skillet.
  7. Put the meat in a preheated pan.
  8. Fry over high heat, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
  9. Add onions and carrots to the meat. Fry for about 1 minute.
  10. Add garlic, barberry, coriander, pepper, salt to the pan and fry, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes.
  11. Sort the rice, rinse and add to meat and vegetables (according to the rules for cooking pilaf, put on top, without stirring).
  12. Pour in enough water so that it is 2 cm higher than the food level. Cover and cook over low heat for about 30 minutes without stirring. After 20 minutes, add the bay leaf.
  13. If the liquid has boiled away and the rice is still hard, you can add about ½ cup of hot water …
  14. … and cook the pilaf under the lid.
  15. Put the finished pilaf on a dish so that the meat and vegetables are on top. Bon appetit!
