Ingredients

  • 1 cube yeast
  • 500g flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • 2 teaspoons herbs, Italian style, peeled
  • 200 g bacon
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 can tomato (850 ml), peeled
  • 2 teaspoons spices for pizza
  • 1 teaspoon garlic (garlic paste)
  • 100 g cheese (Gouda), rated
  • salt
  • pepper
  • flour for rolling
  • 0.25 liter ¼ water, lukewarm

Instructions

  1. Crumble the yeast and dissolve in 1/4 l lukewarm water. Process together with flour, salt and Italian herbs to a smooth dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place until the volume has doubled.
  2. In the meantime, prepare the filling: cut the bacon into small cubes. Peel and finely dice the onion. Fry both in a pan. Add tomatoes and puree. Season with pizza seasoning, garlic paste, salt and pepper. Boil the whole thing down until creamy.
  3. Roll out the yeast dough on a floured work surface into a rectangle (approx. 40 cm x 20 cm). Spread the pizza filling and roll up. Cut into slices with a sharp knife.
  4. Place the resulting pizza valleys on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and sprinkle with grated cheese.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 10 minutes.
  6. Serve as hot as possible - they taste best fresh out of the oven.
