Pork Stewed in Sour Cream Sauce with Mustard

With just a few ingredients, you end up with a very appetizing, savory, and satisfying pork second course that can be served with various side dishes. Fry the meat with onions in a pan, fill with sour cream-mustard sauce, and simmer. Pork according to this recipe is prepared quite simply, but it turns out tender and soft.

Servings: 5

Ingredients

  • Pork – 600 g
  • Onions – 160 g
  • Vegetable oil – 20 ml (1.5 tablespoons) 

For the sauce:

  • Sour cream – 250 g
  • Hot mustard – 40-50 g
  • Water – 200 ml
  • Salt – 1/3 teaspoon or to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

For the filling (optional):

  • Fresh parsley – to taste

Directions

  1. Wash the pork, dry it with paper towels and cut it into small pieces.
  2. Peel the onion, wash and cut into half rings.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry pork and onions, stirring constantly, over medium heat for 5-6 minutes, until golden brown.
  4. Combine sour cream with mustard in a separate container, add pepper and salt.
  5. Then pour 200 ml of warm water into the sauce.
  6. Mix everything until smooth.
  7. Pour the meat in a frying pan with the resulting sour cream-mustard sauce.
  8. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer the pork over low heat for 40-60 minutes, until soft.
  9. Pork stewed in sour cream sauce with mustard is ready. We wash the parsley, tear it with our hands, or chop and sprinkle the meat when serving.
