Potatoes, Stewed with Pork and Cream Cheese (in a Pan)

On the agenda is a simple and incredibly tasty variant of the dish – potatoes stewed with pork and melted cheese in a pan. Just imagine mouth-watering pieces of meat, juicy potatoes, and carrots, all in a silky and tender sauce based on cream cheese. Be sure to try and cook this dish with pleasure!

Servings: 3

Ingredients

  • Pork (pulp, I have a tenderloin) – 400 g
  • Potatoes – 350 g (3 pcs.)
  • Processed cheese – 150 g
  • Carrots – 70 g (1 medium-sized)
  • Onions – 70 g (1 medium-sized)
  • Garlic – 2-3 cloves
  • Bay leaf – 2-3 pcs.
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Vegetable oil – 30 ml (2 tablespoons)

Directions

  1. Cut the onion into thin quarters or half rings, carrots into a medium-sized semicircle. Cut the garlic into small slices.
  2. Rinse and dry the pork. Cut the meat into small pieces.
  3. Heat the pan, add vegetable oil. Place onions, carrots, garlic, and pork. Fry everything over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 7-8 minutes.
  4. Cut the potatoes into medium pieces.
  5. Put the potatoes in the pan with the rest of the ingredients. Add melted cheese, salt, ground pepper, and bay leaf.
  6. Pour hot water (400 ml) into the pan, stir everything. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 35-45 minutes over medium heat, until the potatoes and meat are ready (cooking time depends on the size of the cut, the type of potato, and the meat portion).
  7. At the end of cooking, take a sample, add salt and pepper if necessary.
