Preparation for the Winter with Tomatoes “Vegetable Quartet”

Let’s prepare for the winter using “popular” vegetables: tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers and onions. A real vegetable quartet! Such an appetizer made of pickled vegetables will definitely find its admirers.

Ingredients

  • (for a 0.7 liter can; all vegetables are medium-sized)
  • Tomatoes – 3 pcs.
  • Cucumbers – 2-3 pcs.
  • Sweet bell pepper – 2 pcs.
  • Bulb onions – 1-2 pcs.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Allspice peas – 3 pcs.
  • Sugar – 2.5 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1.5 teaspoon
  • Table vinegar 9% – 20 ml
  • Dill umbrella – 1 pc.

Directions

  1. We prepare vegetables and spices for the winter with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and onions. Our vegetables are small. We immediately put the cans to be sterilized (do not forget about the lids).
  2. We wash and peel the vegetables. Cut the cucumbers on both sides, remove the box with seeds from the sweet Bulgarian pepper, peel the onion and garlic. Cut the peeled bell pepper into two parts, and the onions into 4 slices.
  3. Put the washed dill umbrella in a sterilized jar.
  4. Next, we transfer the cloves of peeled garlic and allspice peas to the jar.
  5. We fill the jar in a chaotic manner with vegetables.
  6. Fill the “vegetable quartet” with marinade, for which you need to dissolve granulated sugar and salt in 250 ml of water, and after boiling, pour in vinegar.
  7. We cover the jar with vegetables with a lid. We put it in a pot of hot water for sterilization. Do not forget to cover the bottom of the pan with a towel so that the jar does not burst. After boiling, sterilize the vegetable preparation for the winter for 13-15 minutes.
  8. Tighten the jar. Turn the blank with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and onions on the lid, insulate and leave to cool completely. Then put the pickled vegetables in a cold storage place for the winter.
