Ingredients

  • 5 handfuls cowslips
  • 2 liters schnapps (grain)
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 5 carnation (s)
  • 5 anise (star anise)
  • Sugar, see below for exact amount

Instructions

  1. Fill a bottle 3/4 full with flowers and pour the grain over it. Add the spices and let stand in the heat for 3-4 weeks. Shake every day.
  2. Then strain off and let the flowers stand again covered with water for approx. 14 days. Measure the water and add 250g sugar per ¼ l of water and stir well.
  3. So now the grain with the cowslip aroma, pour the water mixed with the sugar and the second liter of grain together and fill into bottles.
  4. Let it steep for a few more weeks tastes delicious. This recipe works for any type of berry or flower.
