Puff Pastry with Green Onions Instructions

  1. We wash a bunch of green onions, sift the flour – that’s all the preparation, you can start making cakes.

  2. Combine flour, salt and warm water.
  3. Knead soft and elastic dough. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes. Then let the dough lie under the film for half an hour.
  4. Divide the finished dough into 9 parts (I have 71 g each). We roll each part of the dough into a bun.
Lightly grease the workpieces with vegetable oil, cover with a film and let sit for 5-7 minutes.
  5. While the dough balls are on the table, finely chop the green onion.
  6. We grease the table with vegetable oil. Roll each kolobok into an oblong cake. Use a knife to cut vertical thin strips in the center of the cake, do not grab the edges of the cake.
  7. Now grease the cake with vegetable oil and sprinkle with green onions (you can press the onion a little).
  8. Gently roll up the cake with green onions into a tourniquet (sausage), pulling from both ends.

  9. Then we collect the tourniquet into a snail.
  10. The workpiece can be slightly rolled up with a rolling pin, it will be thinner and fried faster.
  11. Heat the vegetable oil well in a frying pan. Fry the cakes in a pan on both sides until golden brown. The heating is weak.

  12. Put the finished cakes with green onions on a paper towel so that the excess oil is absorbed.
  13. Fragrant, beautiful and very tasty cakes with green onions turned out! Very flaky cakes, each strip peels and crunches!
