Pumpkin Cinnabons

Cinnabon – world famous cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting. Today we will prepare cinnabons from dough with the addition of pumpkin puree. These buns are tasty, soft and have a bright color. Excellent homemade cakes for tea!

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • Milk – 190 ml
  • Sunflower oil – 60 ml
  • Sugar – 50 g
  • Fresh yeast – 8 g
  • Pumpkin puree – 125 g
  • Flour – 400 g
  • Honey – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Salt – 0.25 teaspoon

For filling:

  • Butter – 50 g
  • Sugar – 60 g
  • Cinnamon – 1.5 teaspoon

For glaze:

  • Cream cheese – 100 g
  • Powdered sugar – 1.5 tablespoon
  • Butter – 1.5 tablespoon.

Directions

  1. Prepare all the necessary ingredients for the pumpkin buns. To prepare pumpkin puree, stew the pieces of peeled pumpkin in advance with water and punch with a blender until smooth.
  2. First, make a brew for the yeast dough. To do this, pour warm milk into a bowl, crush fresh yeast into it, add 0.5 tablespoon. sugar from the total and 2 tablespoon. flour.
  3. Stir everything well, put the bowl of dough in a warm place for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Add ready-made pumpkin puree, honey, salt, sunflower oil, the remaining sugar to the matched dough.
  5. Stir with a whisk.
  6. Pouring flour in parts, knead the dough.
  7. Cover the bowl with the dough with a clean kitchen towel and place in a warm place for 1 hour or in the refrigerator overnight.
  8. During this time, the dough will increase in volume. Crumple it up and divide it into 2 parts.
  9. Take one piece of bun dough and roll it into a rectangular layer about 1.5 cm thick.
  10. Brush the entire surface of the dough with room temperature butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. You can use more cinnamon if you like.
  11. Roll the dough into a roll, cut it into pieces about 3 cm wide. Place the bun blanks with the cut point up and press down slightly with the palm of your hand. Prepare 6 more of these buns from the second half of the dough, for a total of 12 pieces.
  12. Place on a baking sheet covered with baking parchment and leave the buns to separate for about 20 minutes. Then put in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. After 30-35 minutes, the pumpkin cinnamon rolls are ready.
  13. While the buns are baking, prepare the icing. To do this, combine cream cheese, soft butter and powdered sugar in a bowl.
  14. Whisk the cheese glaze ingredients with a mixer for about a minute.
  15. Remove the buns from the oven and transfer them hot to a wide dish.
  16. Brush the top of each pumpkin bun with cheese icing and let cool.

Pumpkin cinnabons are ready.
