Instructions

  1. Mix the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, a pinch of salt and the egg until frothy. Then add flour, brook powder and cinnamon and use the mixer whisk to make crumbles.
  2. Line the bottom of a springform pan (size 26) with baking paper and grease the edge, then spread about half of the crumble on the bottom and press down.
  3. Spread the applesauce on the bottom. Peel, core and eighth the apples, then spread over the applesauce.
  4. Stir the brittle into the remaining crumble and then spread them over the apples.
  5. Bake the cake at 180 degrees top / bottom heat on the middle rack for 45-50 minutes
  6. (If you like, you can also stir raisins or cranberries into the applesauce. Or it is also very tasty if you add 2 tablespoons of cocoa to the batter).

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
